The OpenIDEO San Francisco Chapter is a design laboratory dedicated to connecting people to ideas, systems and communities in the Bay Area.
Who are we? We are a 100% volunteer driven community of designers, researchers and humans who care, passionate about applying design thinking to create social impact.
What do we do? We convene and connect creative problem solvers to design local solutions around OpenIDEO challenges and themes, such as: circular economy, sustainability, food systems and global equity.
How do we do it? We organize facilitated workshops, networking meetups, social events in San Francisco and the larger Bay Area and we invite folks to participate in conversations around design thinking, social innovation, and community building.
Core values? We encourage diversity and cross-discipline collaboration so that we may better advance innovation and entrepreneurship in our city. We know that the most impactful solutions are created when they're driven by empathy and shared knowledge.
What have you done in the past? See Slides for a retrospective of past and current works.
