In June, the Atlanta Department of City Planning embarked on an initiative to transform a portion of Peachtree Street in Downtown Atlanta into a shared space that would enhance the social environment of the area and provide improved access to public space for city residents. By considering the observations and insights gathered throughout the duration of the Peachtree Shared Space project, how can we reimagine the future of Downtown and the design of shared public spaces in Atlanta? In collaboration with the OpenIDEO Atlanta Chapter, join the Department of City Planning for a discussion centered around the Peachtree Shared Space and hear about some of the insights captured in their recent 60 day report. This event will follow current CDC guidelines for in-person gatherings, and outdoor dining will be available on location.
